What is Music Therapy?
Music therapy is an evidenced based clinically practiced discipline, not a wellness trend or a good playlist. A certified music therapist uses music intentionally as the primary tool to help you process, express, reclaim, create goals, celebrate yourself and improve your quality of life.
How it works:
Music is unique because it activates multiple regions of the brain. Music can bypass the part of your brain that overthinks and goes straight to where you actually feel things, your nervous system, your emotions, the things weighing you down.
In a session we might listen, write lyrics, sing, create, or just sit with a rhythm that helps you feel grounded. You lead, you set the pace, and you always have a choice. No two sessions look the same because no two days are the same.
Your brain is wired to respond to music in ways it doesn't respond to anything else. We're just using that to your advantage.
Individual Music Therapy
Individual music therapy offers a one‑on‑one space where sessions are tailored to each client’s needs, goals, and preferences. Together, we use music as a tool help you express, reclaim and celebrate yourself. This is a collaborative space where you move at your own pace, honor your limits, and center your lived experience.

Group music therapy offers a supportive space to connect with others who “get it.” In these sessions, we use music-making, rhythm, songwriting, and shared reflection to help group members process experiences, build skills, and feel less alone. You don’t need any musical background to participate, just a willingness to show up as you are. Groups are structured, but always flexible to the needs and energy in the room.
